A 5-alarm fire destroyed more than a dozen businesses in the Bronx this morning.

Close to 200 firefighters battled the blaze at 31-05 Bainbridge Avenue at East 204th street in the Norwood section.

It started around 3:00 AM in a building that houses 14 stores.

Officials say they believe the fire began in the basement of a bakery that is under construction.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
