Seven people were injured in a hi-rise fire in Manhattan on Wednesday morning.
The fire on the 9th floor at the Rupert Towers at 1751 Second Avenue broke out just after 6 a.m.
Two of the victims suffered serious injuries. Everyone is expected to recover.
The FDNY deployed a mobile medical unit to treat residents with smoke inhalation.
Several streets were closed as firefighters put out the flames.
It's not clear what sparked the fire. Firefighters used a large blanket to cover the window in an effort to cut off oxygen to the fire.
