FDNY To Graduate 33 From Anti-Terrorism Program

The New York City fire department is graduating a class of 33 captains and officers from a 10-week counterterrorism course at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
The class has been studying scenarios such as a chemical attack in the subway system. It also has prepared for the detonation of a nuclear device on Wall Street and a shutdown of the municipal water system.
The graduates will spend coming months developing recommendations for the department.
The program was developed by the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point. It's taught by experts and lecturers from around the country.
The class graduates tomorrow. Retired Gen. John Abizaid will speak.
