FDNY FF Michael Kiefer Walk-Run Scheduled for June 13

The 7th annual Michael Kiefer Walk-Run is scheduled for Saturday, June 13 at 11 a.m. on the Long Beach boardwalk. The walk-run will start on Michael's Memorial Bench, between Lincoln and Monroe Boulevard. The dedication of Michael's Memorial Van will take place at the end of the Lincoln Boulevard starting at 11 a.m.

Michael Kiefer, who grew up in Franklin Square, was a dedicated member of the New York City Fire Department. He bravely served on September 11, 2001, when he gave his life in the rescue effort at the World Trade Center.

Proceeds from the walk-run will go to the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation and the FDNY Family Transport Foundation.
