St. John’s University’s Dr. M. T. Geoffrey Yeh Art Gallery will feature “Official FDNY Photograph, Images from the FDNY Photo Unit,” on exhibit January 27 - March 7, 2009 on the University’s Queens Campus.

The exhibit features a short history of the FDNY (New York City Fire Department) as documented by its Photo Unit from the 1900 - 2009. Images documenting major events, such as the attacks of Sept. 11 and Hurricane Katrina, are featured, as well as glass negatives from the Unit’s archives dating back to the early 20th century.
